Job Description

  • You work in close collaboration with the Engineering Manager of stow US, the project director in Europa, software teams, product management and the sales team/sales management
  • You nurture a team culture of proactive communication, efficiency and problem-solving.
  • You are responsible for the Project Execution efforts of all Movu Robotics projects in Europe and Rest of World (Not US) and assign responsibilities to your team
  • You drive the internal development of technical solutions , which include automated storage of bins/totes and pallets, unit load lifts and conveyance, AMRs, and associated controls and software systems by actively giving feedback to the product manager
  • You take the overall responsibility of the solutions you and your team produce in line with solution development in Belgium
  • You ensure that all projects and products executed are complying with local legal requirements
  • You are responsible for developing an operational cost  budget
  • You develop, improve, and refine process standards that enhance Movu robotics effectiveness and efficiency and hold your team members as well as yourself accountable to these standards
  • You coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the engineering scope of projects
  • You assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Your objective is to deliver all engineering solutions on-time, within scope and within budget
  • You develop a detailed engineering solutions plan to monitor and track progress of your own projects and help your team to develop this for their projects
  • You report and escalate challenges to upper management
  • You perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • You establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • You create, maintain and report comprehensive project documentation for your own projects and ensure your team does the same for theirs
  • You meet with our customers to gather specific hardware requirements for products and create specific customer solutions to achieve the project requirement, by using as much as possible the already existing standard components.
  • You track project performance, analyze the data and draw conclusions on learnings and actions to improve or sustain a successful project outcome
  • You provide required reports and information punctually on request of Management.
  • You ensure that documentation is kept up to date in the Movu robotics systems (CRM/ERP/PLM).
  • Executes corrections of data in the Movu robotics system where necessary.
  • You are committed to continuous improvement including your own professional and leadership development
  • You share technical knowledge with engineering and sales team members
  • You provide training for your team and peers
  • You participate in company and team training as required
  • You maintain and improve relevant technical knowledge and skills
  • You attend industry events as needed

Our solutions include automated storage of bins/totes and pallets, unit load lifts and conveyance, AMRs, and associated controls and software systems.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master Engineering Electrical Mechanical Engineering Automation or Mechatronics
  • At least 5 years experience as a manager to lead a team of 15 persons but this will grow to 25 persons
  • Excellent leadership and organizing skills
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Exquisite communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exerience in the intralogistics is also a plus
  • Fluently Dutch & English, French or/and German are plus
  • No remote function : HQ is located in Lokeren
