- Your focus is to design new mechanical products or product features applying your knowledge of, for example: Gearboxes, chains, bearings, tolerances, fittings, production methods, welding descriptions, material properties …
- Your main skill is mechanical design but you also have notions of controls topics like sensors, motors, drives, …
- You map out and follow up your part of the planning to make sure you hit your deadlines.
- When your designs are drafted, you get into contact with our prototyping and testing teams. Together with them you build a prototype make sure your design is fit for production. Important criteria are quality, cost and scalability.
- You actively follow up and check your designs when they are in production, soliciting and logging potential improvements.
- You provide expert technical support to other departments like projecting, service and sales.
- You provide the necessary calculations and documentation along with your design.
- You help improve our workflows and procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- You have a Master’s degree in Mechatronics, product development or a related field.
- You have at least 2 years of engineering experience, preferably in the material handling, manufacturing, automation, machine, or aerospace industries.
- You have expert knowledge of 3D MCAD tools, preferably combined with a PDM/PLM system.
- You have a “maker” mentality.
- You are an autonomous team player.
- English is a must (C1 or higher).
- Knowledge of Dutch is recommended
