While demand for warehouse space is growing, available buildings and land are becoming scarcer and more expensive. At the same time, e-commerce and manufacturing industry sales are growing. Current studies forecast an increase in global e-commerce sales to over ten trillion US dollars by 2025.
The rapid growth in the B2C segment is accompanied by equally strong growth in the B2B segment. Here, too, online trade is exploding. The only solution often seems to be to build or rent new warehouse space.
